SALISBURY - The City of Salisbury announced today that due to recent weather conditions, the City’s Inclement Weather Action Plan has been implemented.

Weather forecasts, road conditions, and citizen and employee safety, continue to provide key elements in the evaluation and decision-making process surrounding delivery of services. Please be advised of the following service delivery adjustments and meeting cancellations and postponements.

Service Delivery Adjustments

 Clearing of Roadways: City street division crews are currently working to clear roadways and public parking lots. City crews have been working around-the-clock to salt and scrape roadways.

• Solid Waste Collection: Due to weather conditions, solid waste (garbage) collection did not occur on Monday, January 10. Garbage collection has resumed as of 12 noon today with Monday and Tuesday routes collected first.

SALISBURY - Talk about taking advantage of a situation.  Deputies in Rowan County say a thief ripped off people while they were worshipping in a church service.

It happened Sunday morning in the parking lot of Gold Hill Baptist Church in eastern Rowan.
