Vandals damage golf course | Crime

SALISBURY - The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating damage to the Foxwood Golf Course on Potneck Road over this past weekend.

According to a report, someone tried to break into the clubhouse, and even tore screens off the windows, but did not get into the building.

The would be thieves then took several golf carts for a joy ride on the course, causing damage by spinning donuts on the putting greens, and running over flags.

THe golf carts also appeared to have been crashed into each other.

The damage was estimated at almost $10,000.
