Fire guts apartments in Granite Quarry |

Firefighters in Granite Quarry fought the flames at a set of apartments on South Main Street Wednesday night. Firefighters said flames were visible when they arrived.

Several people were forced from their homes, but no one was hurt.

At least two units were destroyed and a third was heavily damaged. Two others had smoke damage.

Neighbors were still surveying the damage Thursday morning.

There is no word on a cause.
