SALISBURY - The second annual Biker Blues BBQ Rally roars to life today at Tilley Harley-Davidson in Salisbury.
"We really support the charities," Gary Moss told WBTV. "We have entertainment nightly, Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night. Blues Thursday and Friday night, a good band that does just a lot of good music. It's all free to the general public."
Moss also talked about the charities that benefit from the event.
"I'm retired military, 2010, you can see the beard, the hair," Moss joked. "We have the Folds of Honor Foundation which we support, we also support Operation Home Front in North Carolina here, also the Wounded Warrior program, also the Disabled American Veteran's Foundation, we support that organization. All of our profits will go to the charities."

Thursday Pre-event party sponsored by Uncle Bucks featuring: Blues/Rock Band "The Bryan Thompson Band" and BullFrog Willard McGhee & special guest Tad Walters 6 – 11 pm
Friday night’s BBQ and Blues night sponsored by Trane Building service with Big Ron Hunter and The Jill Dineen Band 6 – 11 pm
Saturday night’s Final Finale party sponsored by Tom McGraths Law Group with The Right Turn Clyde Band 6 – 9 pm
Then there's the food.
Currently, there are 56 KCBS competition teams from all across NC and 6 other states (AL, GA, SC, MD, TN, VA) for this upcoming event. Moss said that the competition is serious business for all involved.
"Theses are Kansas City BBQ Society certified BBQ judges, so it's restricted, there are a lot of rules and regulations that the judges must follow to judge this BBQ," Moss added. Prizes for the competition total over $12,000.
The rally takes place through Saturday at Tilley Harley-Davidson, 653 Bendix Drive in Salisbury. There is no charge for admission.
