"Catch Up" on fun at the Tomato Festival
SALISBURY - The annual Woodleaf Tomato Festival is set for this weekend with lots of activities and entertainment, all centered around the delicious tomato.
Here are some of the activities planned so that you can "catch-up" on the fun:
Friday: Stephen Allred will be performing, the Tomato Trot 5K race and awards recognition
Saturday: 9 am to 4 pm. Activities include clogging, an Elvis performance artist, bluegrass, gospel, and contemporary music will be performed. The annual tomato eating contest will take place, along with the Dancing Tomatoes, and much more. There will also be food and craft vendors.
The Woodleaf Tomato Festival takes place on the grounds of Unity Presbyterian Church, 885 Woodleaf Barber Road.
