Well known Mooresville, former Salisbury High teacher charged with choking girlfriend | Crime
SALISBURY - J.T. Bost, a teacher at Mooresville High School who also taught for a number of years at Salisbury High, has been charged with trying to choke his former girlfriend as the two wrestled over the woman's cell phone.
According to the report, the ex girlfriend came to Bost's house on Maple Ridge Circe in Salisbury on Wednesday to retrieve her phone.
After the woman grabbed the phone, Bost grabbed the woman, putting his hands around her neck and choking her.
The two wrestled on the floor until the woman got away and ran to her car. According to the report Bost followed her, then stuck his hands in the car and again tried to choke her.
Bost, 38, was charged with assault by strangulation. He is now out on bond.
Bost was not in the classroom in Mooresville on Thursday.
Known as a teacher, Bost also had formerly been in charge of the Salisbury High Quiz Bowl team and had served as an official at various athletic events across the area.
