Wheelchair bound man charged with cyber sex crime

SALISBURY - A disabled man whose Facebook page lists "cyber sex" as a hobby and says he is "the only Hell my mama ever raised," has now been charged for attempting to solicit sex with an underage girl over the internet.

The advocacy group Perverted Justice, best known for working with NBC News on the Dateline program setting up stings, contacted the Rowan Sheriff's Office in August.

The group gave them the name of Jeff Fisher, 44, of Wedgewood Drive in Salisbury.

A detective created an undercover chat persona under a false name and pretended to be a 14 year old girl.  According to the report, Fisher had two online conversations with the detective in which he "unlawfully, willfully and feloniously did take and attempt immoral, improper, and indecent liberties" with the detective.  The warrant says that the purpose was "arousing and gratifying sexual desire."

The conversations took place on 9/19/11 and 9/20/11.

Fisher is disabled and suffers from spina bifida.  According to the report he is wheelchair bound and paralyzed below the chest.

Fisher was charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with children.  Fisher was released on a written promise to appear in court.
