Crime

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV)- Two of the men believed to have robbed the crew of a Norfolk Southern freight train in late April are now behind bars.

The train engineer and conductor were sitting in the stopped train near Council Street in Salisbury waiting on another crew when two masked men carrying guns boarded the train and robbed the workers.

Police arrested Altise Shared Bridges, 23, on Monday night and charged him with train robbery.  Bond was set at $25,000.  Willie James Johnson, Jr., already in jail on a number of charges, was also charged with the train robbery.  Johnson's bond is $50,000 on the train robbery charge, but the total bond is $85,000.

Police are still looking for a third suspect.  Warrants have been issued for Kenyad Laquan Kelly, 18, for possession of a weapon of mass destruction and accessory after the fact.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kelly is asked to call Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333.
