SALISBURY - A man wanted in connection with a gang related triple murder in San Francisco has waived extradition and will head to California.

Wilfredo Reyes was captured in Salisbury by the Rowan Sheriff's Office, San Francisco Police, and agents with Immigration Customs Enforcement on July 8.

Reyes was staying in a residence on Airport Road with a second man, Jose Meija.  Lawmen got information that Reyes was in Rowan County and went to the house on the morning of the 8th.  According to the report, Reyes tried to flee through a window but was stopped by law enforcement.

Both subjects are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. Wilfredo Reyes is under No Bond awaiting extradition to California. Mejia is also being held without bond under as ICE detainer and charges of (F) Harboring a Fugitive from Justice and (F) Possession of Cocaine and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
