Deputies seek man who attacked teen girl

SALISBURY - The Rowan Sheriff's Office has released an artist's rendering provided by the Davidson Police Department of a man wanted to grabbing a teen as she jogged in her Stafford Estates neighborhood last week.

According to the teen, she was running and noticed a man standing on a wooded corner on Stafford Estates Drive.  When the teen came back on the way to her home, she said the man asked her name and age.  The teen replied with a name, but said no more to the man.

According to the teen, the man then grabbed the teen on the buttocks and the arm.  The teen struggled, pulled away from the man and ran home.  She and her mother called 911 and deputies arrived shortly, but the man was gone.

The man is described as white, 5'5 " to 5'7"  tall with thin arms and legs and a little weight in the midsection.  His eyes were blue, teeth yellowing, and skin pale, according to the report.  He was described as having glasses and no facial hair.  He was wearing a white tee shirt, khaki shorts, whites socks that stretched over his calves, tennis shoes, and a tan baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Rowan Sheriff at 704-216-8700, or 911.
