Rowan deputy sought on stalking charges; suspended from job | Crime

SALISBURY - The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the China Grove Police Department are jointly investigating a domestic related crime involving Brian Michael Long, 33, who lives at 3660 Linn Ave., Kannapolis.

The China Grove Police Department currently holds an outstanding warrant on Long, for one misdemeanor charge of stalking.   

Brian Michael Long is an employee of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to work in the Rowan County Detention Center, but  he was suspended with pay, on 10-17-12, pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.

Brian Michael Long is believed to be operating a white GMC Yukon, with a NC tag of RSL1012, and is believed to still be in the Rowan County area. 

Anyone involved in a domestic situation of this nature, should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone having information as to his location should contact 911 immediately.
