Deputies talked with a 14 year old girl, who reported that sometime after getting off of the school bus, an older white man driving a small white pickup tried to get her to get into his truck.
The girl said that the man told her he wanted to tell her something, and that as she approached the truck, he opened the passenger door and tried to get her to get into the vehicle. The girl told deputies that she shut the door on the truck, and then walked into her house.
The girl described the man as being older & skinny, with white hair, and wearing glasses. The girl could not give a further description of the suspect, or the small white pick up truck he was reported to be driving.
She did tell officers that the suspect left Ted Lane, and turned right, onto Old Concord Road. Deputies and troopers wit the NCSHP searched the area for the truck, but were unsuccessful in locating the man.
