SALISBURY - Three men have been arrested for the murder of a store owner in an armed robbery Monday night at the Z & H Mart on Highway 150.
According to investigators, a gunman entered the Z&H Mart at 3610 Mooresville Road, Salisbury, and pointed a small handgun at the store owner. The store owner, Mr. Abualeinan, confronted the suspect and the suspect fatally shot and killed Mr. Abualeinan.
Investigators say the suspect then went around the victim’s body and opened the cash register, took the money, fthen led the store. No vehicle is seen in the video.
On Tuesday, investigators released pictures from the video with two men that entered the store and made a purchase just before the gunman entered.
As a result of information obtained, the two men were identified as 23 year old Maurice Robinson of 309 East Fisher St. Salisbury and 20 year old Kevin Lamont Canzator of 613 E. Bank Street, Salisbury.
During the course of the investigation detectives identified the gunman as 23 year old Christopher Lee Watson, of the streets of Salisbury.
Watson rode to the store with Canzator and Robinson. After Robinson and Canzator left the store, Watson entered seconds later.
During the robbery Watson fired the small handgun and killed Mr. Abualeinan. Watson, Robinson and Canzator were charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and First Degree Murder and held with No Bond.
The Salisbury Police also assisted in this investigation.
This isn’t thought to be the only robbery involving Christopher Watson. The investigation continues, according to deputies.
