SALISBURY - Salisbury Police say three men were shot Monday night on W. Fisher Street in an apparent drive by shooting.
According to the report, a group of men were standing in front of a vacant house at 815 W. Fisher Street when a car slowed in front of them. A man in the car, possibly a black Chevrolet Impala or Malibu, yelled out "what's up b******?" and then opened fire.
Three men were struck during the shooting. Malik Jones, 18, of Vanderford Street, was shot in the leg, Jaylen Cook, 19, was grazed in the back, and Cornell Cook, 23, was shot in the thigh, according to police. All three were treated and released from Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Police say they do not have a good description of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
