Girl missing for two weeks; law enforcement asking for help

SALISBURY - Investigators in Rowan County are trying to find a 15 year old girl who has been missing for two weeks.

Sheniqua Victoria Nicole Peebles left April 9 to stay with her cousins during Spring Break week, according to family members.

Peebles is a student at West Rowan High School.  Family members told the sheriff's office that they had received some text messages from the teen, but that she doesn't answer her phone or return any calls, and those family members fear that she may have been abducted.

Investigators say family members told them they last saw Peebles walk down the driveway to a light blue Lincoln Town Car and leave on April 9.

At that time she was wearing jeans and carrying a small book bag and pocketbook.

Peebles is 5-foot-4, 120 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and straight neck-length hair.

Deputies ask anyone with information about Sheniqua Peebles’ whereabouts to call 911 or Detective John Brindle at 704-216-8706.
