Update: Missing sisters found and safe | News

SALISBURY - The Rowan County Sheriff's Department says two sisters who went missing Friday afternoon have been located and that both girls are fine.

According to the report, sisters Mia and Lena Teodorovici were last seen by their father Friday afternoon, May 4.  The girls were with their father at East Rowan High School.  The father went inside the school to speak with a teacher.  He told deputies that when he returned to his truck, the sisters were gone.

While investigators believe the girls left on their own, the parents had no idea where they went and had not heard from them, according to the sheriff's report.

The sisters were located Saturday afternoon, according to Captain John Sifford.  No further details were available.
