Wiley Lamm to be honored; now in hospice care

SALISBURY - Veteran Salisbury police officer Wiley La mm, who is currently in hospice care as he battles cancer, is scheduled to be recognized by the Salisbury City Council during it's next meeting on Tuesday.

La mm was recently honored as the Veteran Police Officer of the Year.  Among other things, La mm is well known for his work with the annual bicycle giveaway conducted at Christmas time by the Salisbury Police Department and the Gerry Wood auto dealership.

Annice Churn will be honored as the Young Officer of the Year, while Telecommunications Supervisor Diana Gonzales will be honored as Civilian Employee of the Year.

From the Salisbury Fire Department, Engineer Jeff Miller will be honored as Veteran Firefighter of the Year, Firefighter Andrew Obersold will be honored as Rookie Firefighter of the Year.
