Sheriff: "99%" sure on identity of body found hanging from tree | News
SALISBURY - Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office told WBTV Thursday afternoon that they are "99%" certain that the body found hanging from a tree limb off Stokes Ferry Road is that of Bryan Eugene Merrill, 25.
Investigators say the family has been notified and that they have identified clothes and articles of jewelry found at the scene. Dental records are being checked by the Medical Examiner.
Foul play is not suspected, but investigators say nothing has been completely ruled out.
