Mysterious "Good Samaritan" pulls three free from burning cars, then disappears | News
SALISBURY - An unknown Good Samaritan is being credited for saving the lives the lives of three people by pulling them from burning cars on Interstate 85 Monday night.
According to fire officials and investigators on the scene, the accident happened near mile marker 81 at Bringle Ferry Road just before 9:00 pm. A white Chevrolet minivan stopped in the southboud lane of I-85 for an unknown reason, and was struck by a NIssan SUV. The gas tank on the Chevrolet ruptured and caught fire, and the flames spread to the Nissan.
Another driver stopped and helped to pull a woman and twelve year old child from the minivan, as well as the driver of the SUV.
When the first firefigher arrived the victims were out of the burning cars. They were taken to the hospital and all are expected to be okay.
The identity of the hero, or heroes, is not known. They apparently drove away after pulling the victims free.
