SALISBURY - A public policy group has given U.S. Rep. Howard (R-NC) a grade of 100% for his votes on issues concerning the principles of free markets and limited government.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has created a voting scorecard for the 112th Congress focusing on worker issues.

Congressman Coble earned a 100% rating from CEI on its scorecard.

According to the group, CEI’s labor policy website, workplacehoice.org, will be the only real-time congressional voting scorecard devoted to analyzing Congress’ labor record from a free-market perspective. The score is determined based on the CEI policy determinations that support worker freedom and the elimination of organized labor privileges across the country.

On September 21, 2011, the Competitive Enterprise Institute held an award ceremony for members of Congress who achieved a 100% pro-worker score on its Congressional Labor Policy Scorecard.  CEI Labor Policy Counsel Vincent Vernuccio (presenting award to Rep. Coble in attached photo) said, “It was an honor to present the award to Congressmen Coble, who has consistently stood up for workers. We applaud those Congressmen who maintained 100% pro-worker scores thus far during the 112th Congress and are pleased that so many representatives have demonstrated their dedication to protecting workplace freedoms."
