“Spanish is the most common second language spoken in the United States,” said Pearly Klutz, instructor for Rowan-Cabarrus. “Speaking Spanish is now a requirement in some jobs since most businesses now have to serve people who speak Spanish as a first language. And even in jobs where it’s not required, it’s a way to set yourself apart from the competition.”
For more information or to register for the conversational Spanish courses, call 704-216-7222 or e-mail jan.corriher-smith@rccc.edu. Space is limited, and advanced registration is required.
