Photo Gallery | Reporter Notebook: Fashions For A Cause

SALISBURY - My job allows me to do some pretty fun things every year, but one of my favorite is hosting the annual "Fashions For A Cause" show put on by the Community Care Clinic.

This link will tell you a little more about the clinic: http://www.ncfreeclinics.org/ClinicProfile.aspx?ClinicID=4cba4d98-f9ec-460a-ba24-74b39df24e56

You can tell by the name, it's a fashion show.  It comes complete with a runway, lots of models and all kinds of clothes, even a not too bright emcee who really has fun reading the descriptions of fashions.

The show is held every Spring at the Crystal Lounge on the campus of Catawba College, and is attended by hundreds of women from throughout the community.

The models are always gorgeous, the clothes always stunning.  Often there are children who model spring and summer outfits, and that usually draws a loud chorus of ooohs and aaahhhs.

This year's fashions came from shops including the Thread Shed, Maia's Fashions, A Perfect Dress, Attractions on Main, Belkin the Salisbury Mall, Anne's in Concord, and the Stichin' Post in Salisbury.

This time I took a few pictures with my phone camera.  I know they aren't great, but I just wanted a little something to show my appreciation to the Goodwins and everyone at the clinic who have allowed me to be part of this celebration each year.

Jon Lakey, a talented photographer from The Salisbury Post was there taking a lot of pictures.  They will much better than mine, so look for them soon in the paper or online.

Thanks again!
