Sheriff: Parents set up brawl for teens, nearly a dozen charged

Lisa Lefler Sellers, 35, was charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, misdemeanor child abuse and affray. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
Stacy Burg, 30, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and released after posting a $1,500 bond.
Kristen Harwood, 17, was charged with affray. She was released after posting a $700 bond.
Randy Lefler, 55, was charged with affray and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Zachary Nichols, 17, was charged with cyber bullying, affray and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was released after posing a $2,500 bond.
Victoria Salters, 17, was charged with cyber bullying and released after posting a $2,500 bond.
Jonathan Shumake, 19, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held under a $1,000 bond.
Richard VanCamp III, 42, was charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.

ENOCHVILLE - A brawl involving teenagers that was apparently set up by their parents resulted in nearly a dozen people facing charges, according to the sheriff.

The incident happened in Enochville last weekend in the 8000 block of Karriker Road.

Investigators said at least 19 people gathered to watch the fight that involved teen and juvenile boys and girls. Videos of the fight were uploaded to social media and several cell phones were seized by deputies. One juvenile suffered a broken nose.

According to the report, parents of several of the children brought them to the location specifically to fight other children.

“The child’s mother arranged and encouraged her to fight against another female participant,” the report said.

One girl's clothes were torn during the fight and the report stated that "the fight participant’s bare breast was exposed.”

Several adults and teens now face charges for the fight, and also for drug offenses.
